One of the greatest ways for a child to assess their own abilities and strengths comes from risk-taking play. The key to risk-taking play is that the students are judging their ability to complete a task which not all students will be able to do, but they are not engaging with a hazard. The differentiation between hazards and risks is a key component to these types of activities.
